Justin Hallmark & Charlie Barnes put the beatdown on the rest of the club on Lake Belton! The team caught fish on shad pattern baits. Flukes, jerkbaits, Texas Rigs, & topwater baits got the finicky Belton bass to bite. The fish were found in small packs and spread throughout the lake. Second Place went to the Cali Boys; Doug Cole and Matt Ling, who finished 6 pounds behind the leaders. The fishing was tough and the club looks to hopefully rebound at Lake Marble Falls in July! Hallmark extends his lead in the AOY Race and is looking to crack 200 lbs. on the year. Doug Cole is still sitting pretty with his Buchanan BBOY lead, 7lbs.

Meeting:
Next meeting will be at Uncle Buck's at Bass Pro Shops in Round Rock, TX on Mon. August 3, 2026 at 7:00 PM. The Big Sandy Creek Bass Club will discuss the Lake Marble Falls results and details for our August tournament on Lake Dunlap. Although the catch size may be considerably smaller than in years past, the club is still anticipating a visit to this Guadalupe River destination. This will be Big Sandy's 1st visit since the re-pooling of the reservoir in the fall of 2023 after the dam was rebuilt.
